Water Treatment Operator

The Water Treatment Operator performs the following duties in accordance with applicable safety standards including but not limited to: Operates and maintains a drinking water and a wastewater treatment systems; Operate, maintain, participate in the preparation of the mine water treatment systems. Participate to seasonal water treatment operators training. Measure and inspect pond level and insfrastructure. Ensure compliance with regulations by ensuring the conduct of potable water production and distribution, wastewater collection and treatment, and sludge disposal processes to ensure control; To sample, analyze and characterize raw, waste and treated water from a physical, physicochemical and microbiological point of view; Perform manual work and maintenance of water production and distribution equipment; Participate in the optimization of processes;
Compile and interpret data.
